Verifies that the caller has write access to the specified folder.

function IsWritableFolder(

const AFolderName: String;

const ACanCreateFolder: Boolean = True

): Boolean;

 

Parameters

AFolderName [in]

A full absolute folder name.

 

ACanCreateFolder [in, optional]

Indicates if it is OK to create the folder specified in the AFolderName parameter. Default is True.

 

Return value

If the current process have a GENERIC_WRITE access to AFolderName folder, the return value is True.

 

If the current process doesn't have a GENERIC_WRITE access to AFolderName file (or if the specified folder does not exist and the ACanCreateFolder parameter is False) the return value is False.

 

Remarks

This function tries to create a test file in the specified folder. If this operation succeeds - the function returns True, otherwise - False.
